Scottish Celtic fan here with a soft spot for Barca (big Messi fan + my first European game was that 2-1), curious about how seriously the Super Cup is taken. I know in England the Community shield is basically a glorified friendly, but in Spain it’s four teams, mid season, and for Barca to win it usually means beating Real Madrid (Celtic could be playing rangers at rock paper scissors and I’d be dying to beat them so I assume that adds something). At 26 he is not a starter with his national team and even when he play he provides nothing special. Considering Barca is planning to spend 130-150M for him and considering he is not a pure striker.
